About the Troutmobile

The Troutmobile is a one-of-a-kind Vintage Toyota Chinook hardtop that is as classic as possible yet modernized to be livable. Super fuel efficient and economical, with 25+ MPG. Comfortable for two on a hiking adventure, leisurely cruise, honeymoon, or great for your solo fishing trip! The spacious living area quickly converts into a bed, with a camp kitchen. More affordable than renting both a car and hotel on your vacation.

The Troutmobile is great in all seasons! Equipped with a 3000 BTU heater perfect for cool nights, the heater warms the RV quickly and is well insulated so it will stay warm overnight. Great for a fall hiking trip! 

​ We found the Troutmobile in Los Gatos, California and in hindsight we paid too much, but it is the second baby of our fleet and we can thank it for pushing us to start this new adventure. We have converted it with a Snipper EFI and done tons of maintenance to it including steering components and airbags for a more stable ride. The interior is mostly original and only updating when needed. Let us know if there is anything we can add to make your trip more enjoyable.
